SC Dismisses Plea On Fake Medical Degrees

The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a Public Interest Litigation concerning fake medical degrees. The bench, comprising Justice P.S. Narasimha and Justice Alok Aradhe, reprimanded the petitioner, advocate Narendra Kumar Goswami, for filing numerous petitions routinely. The court stated that the petitioner seemed to be making a 'factory' of petitions for publicity and popularity. The plea had sought directions for auditing medical regulations and forming an expert committee.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने बुधवार को फर्जी मेडिकल डिग्री से जुड़ी एक जनहित याचिका खारिज कर दी। जस्टिस पी.एस. नरसिम्हा और जस्टिस आलोक आर्धे की बेंच ने याचिकाकर्ता वकील नरेंद्र कुमार गोस्वामी को बार-बार याचिकाएं दायर करने पर फटकार लगाई। कोर्ट ने कहा कि याचिकाकर्ता प्रचार और लोकप्रियता के लिए याचिकाओं की 'फैक्ट्री' चला रहा है। याचिका में मेडिकल नियमों के ऑडिट और एक विशेषज्ञ समिति के गठन की मांग की गई थी।
