Flipkart Alumni Urge Walmart For Liquidity On Stock Options

Former Flipkart employees are pressing Walmart for liquidity on stock options granted 10 to 15 years ago. At least eight former senior executives, including ex-Myntra CEO Mukesh Bansal, wrote to Walmart's board and Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy seeking a complete exit. These employees helped build Flipkart and have long awaited a public listing. However, Walmart, which acquired Flipkart, appears in no hurry to take the company public, especially after a leadership change earlier this year. A Walmart spokesperson stated the company would examine the issues raised by the former employees.
