Supreme Court Bar Association to File Contempt Plea Against Kerala Congress

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has decided to file a contempt petition against the Kerala Congress for a social media post that questioned the Chief Justice of India. The post, which has since been deleted, asked CJI Surya Kant to resign. SCBA chief Pradeep Rai stated that the draft plea is being prepared and will be sent to the attorney general for consent. Other legal associations have also condemned the post, emphasizing the importance of respecting constitutional offices and institutions.
