ECB has awarded central contracts to 39 cricketers, marking a significant shift in their selection policy. Notably, uncapped player Henry Crocombe has been handed a two-year central contract, a move unprecedented in English cricket history. This decision means an international debutant has received a central contract before playing for the national team. The ECB has awarded 11 players two-year contracts, 19 players one-year contracts, and nine players development contracts.
