The three-day Kittur Utsav is set to commence on Friday, featuring a diverse array of events including music, folk traditions, sports, and literary activities. This year marks a departure from tradition, with farmer leader Chukki Nanjundaswamy inaugurating the festival instead of a politician. The celebrations will include performances by prominent singers like Rajesh Krishnan and Arjun Janya, alongside folk art troupes, exhibitions, and a mega health camp. The event aims to celebrate the region's heritage and culture, culminating with an expected appearance by Chief Minister DK Shivakumar.
