Japanese tennis star Kei Nishikori concluded his professional career at the Japan Open, his home tournament. He lost his first-round match to second-seeded Frances Tiafoe with a score of 6-4, 6-4. Nishikori, a former US Open finalist and Grand Slam finalist, had announced his retirement plans in May.
