Uttarakhand Faces Long Power Cuts Due To Deficient

Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited has imposed power cuts ranging from 35 minutes to 15 hours due to deficient monsoon rainfall reducing hydropower generation. Heavy industries experienced the longest outages, while Haldwani saw the shortest. Hydropower generation has fallen significantly compared to last year, creating a supply-demand gap. The corporation is seeking additional supply from the central grid and plans to diversify power sources by contracting with a coal-based plant to mitigate future risks.

उत्तराखंड में बिजली की भारी कटौती

उत्तराखंड पावर कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड ने कम बारिश की वजह से बिजली कटौती शुरू कर दी है। यह कटौती 35 मिनट से लेकर 15 घंटे तक की हो सकती है। भारी उद्योगों में सबसे लंबी कटौती हुई, जबकि हल्द्वानी में सबसे कम। पिछले साल के मुकाबले बिजली उत्पादन काफी गिर गया है, जिससे मांग और आपूर्ति में अंतर आ गया है। कंपनी सेंट्रल ग्रिड से अतिरिक्त बिजली लेने की कोशिश कर रही है और भविष्य के लिए कोयला आधारित प्लांट से भी बिजली खरीदने की योजना बना रही है।
