Bihar Govt May Empower 'Jeevika Didis' in Governance

बिहार सरकार रोज़गार पैदा करने से आगे 'जीविका दीदियों' (महिला स्वयं सहायता समूहों) की भूमिका बढ़ाने के प्रस्ताव पर विचार कर रही है। तीन सदस्यीय समिति ने इन समूहों को शासन में हिस्सेदारी देने की सिफारिश की है, जिससे गाँव के विकास में उनका प्रभाव बढ़ सकता है। समिति ने अगले पाँच वर्षों के लिए छोटे उद्योगों को बढ़ावा देने और 16% GSDP वृद्धि दर बनाए रखने पर भी ज़ोर दिया। इस कदम का उद्देश्य इन महिला समूहों के मौजूदा नेटवर्क का उपयोग व्यापक विकास पहलों के लिए करके रोज़गार और आय को दोगुना करना है।
