RSS Chief, CM Blame Human Error For Chorbagan Stampede

Times of India · india

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat stated that "human error" was responsible for the Chorbagan stampede in Kolkata, which resulted in 19 fatalities. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari concurred with Bhagwat's assessment, attributing the tragedy to human error rather than natural causes. Adhikari noted that the stampede occurred near the exit point, exacerbated by an announcement about the pandal's potential collapse. He emphasized the immense scale of Durga Puja celebrations, involving millions of people and thousands of pandals, making crowd control challenging.
