अमेरिका के राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने ऐलान किया है कि 3 नवंबर को होने वाले मिडटर्म चुनावों से पहले अमेरिका ईरान पर हमला नहीं करेगा। उन्होंने कहा कि ईरान के साथ अच्छी बातचीत चल रही है। इस ऐलान के बाद तेल की कीमतों में थोड़ी गिरावट आई क्योंकि मध्य पूर्व से सप्लाई को लेकर चिंताएं कम हो गईं। ईरान के विदेश मंत्री ने बताया कि तेहरान जलडमरूमध्य को फिर से खोलने की योजना पर अमेरिकी जवाब की समीक्षा कर रहा है और मध्यस्थों के ज़रिए बातचीत जारी है।
