Retired IRS Officer Kidnapped Over Financial Dispute; Rescued by Police

A retired IRS officer and former GST audit commissioner, P Anand Kumar, was abducted in Visakhapatnam while en route to the airport. The kidnapping stemmed from an alleged financial dispute with individuals from Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Visakhapatnam city police swiftly rescued the officer and apprehended 10 out of 11 accused within hours. The abductors had demanded ransom from Kumar's wife. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.

एक रिटायर्ड IRS अफ़सर और पूर्व GST ऑडिट कमिश्नर, पी आनंद कुमार, को विशाखापत्तनम में एयरपोर्ट जाते समय किडनैप कर लिया गया था। यह किडनैपिंग हैदराबाद और बेंगलुरु के लोगों के साथ कथित पैसों के झगड़े के कारण हुई थी। विशाखापत्तनम शहर की पुलिस ने तुरंत अफ़सर को छुड़ा लिया और कुछ ही घंटों में 11 में से 10 आरोपियों को पकड़ लिया। किडनैप करने वालों ने कुमार की पत्नी से फिरौती मांगी थी। इस मामले में आगे की जांच चल रही है।
