Indian Human Hair Industry Faces Crisis, AP Chambers Urge Government Intervention

The AP Chambers of Commerce & Industry Federation has urged the Central government to address the severe stress on India's human hair processing industry over the past seven to eight years. The sector faces raw material shortages and rising costs due to unchecked export of raw hair without adequate safeguards. The federation highlighted concerns about undervaluation and illegal cross-border movement, noting that the existing minimum export price is significantly lower than domestic market rates.

ए पी चैंबर्स ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री फेडरेशन ने केंद्र सरकार से भारत के मानव बाल प्रसंस्करण उद्योग पर पिछले सात से आठ वर्षों से पड़ रहे गंभीर दबाव को दूर करने का आग्रह किया है। यह क्षेत्र कच्चे माल की कमी और अनियंत्रित निर्यात के कारण बढ़ती लागत का सामना कर रहा है, जिसमें पर्याप्त सुरक्षा उपाय नहीं हैं। फेडरेशन ने कम मूल्यांकन और अवैध सीमा पार आवाजाही के बारे में चिंता जताई, यह भी कहा कि मौजूदा न्यूनतम निर्यात मूल्य घरेलू बाजार दरों से काफी कम है।
