Karnataka University Student Assault Attempt, Suspect Held

Tension erupted at the Central University of Karnataka late Friday night after a postgraduate student was allegedly sexually harassed and subjected to an attempted assault by a construction worker. Students protested, alleging a security lapse and demanding action. Police arrested the suspect and registered a case. The Vice-Chancellor assured an inquiry and appealed for the protest to end, as student safety concerns were raised.

कर्नाटक सेंट्रल यूनिवर्सिटी में शुक्रवार देर रात हंगामा मच गया। आरोप है कि एक कंस्ट्रक्शन वर्कर ने एक पोस्ट-ग्रेजुएट छात्रा से छेड़छाड़ और रेप की कोशिश की। छात्रों ने सुरक्षा में चूक का आरोप लगाते हुए विरोध प्रदर्शन किया और कार्रवाई की मांग की। पुलिस ने आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर केस दर्ज कर लिया है। वाइस-चांसलर ने जांच का भरोसा दिलाया और छात्रों से प्रदर्शन खत्म करने की अपील की।
