Uttar Pradesh has approved the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Skill Training and Employment Zone Development Scheme, allocating Rs 1,725 crore over three years. This ambitious initiative aims to transform the state's youth into a globally competitive workforce by integrating skill training with industrial needs and employment opportunities across all 75 districts. The scheme will organise the skill development ecosystem into nine zones, supported by five major centres, to connect training providers with employers. The goal is to make young people more employable and help industries find skilled workers.
