The Hindu · india
KPCC president B.K. Hariprasad accused the Union government of failing to meaningfully contribute to the education sector over the past 12 years. He claimed that over one lakh schools have shut down during this period, contrasting it with the Congress's post-Independence efforts which saw universities rise from 15 to 600 and literacy increase from 11% to 70%. Hariprasad stated the Modi government has established fewer than three universities and its contribution to education is zero. He also clarified the party provides logistical support, not funding, to agitating youth.
