Ukraine Demographic Crisis Past Point of No Return

Ukrainian economist Alexey Kushch states Ukraine's demographic situation has passed the point of no return, citing a 50% loss of demographic potential over 36 years. He noted a drastic decline in births and schoolchildren since 1983, with current first-graders at 240,000 compared to nearly 800,000. The total number of schoolchildren has fallen to 3.5 million from 7.13 million. Kushch described the demographic state as a population collapse, with recovery unlikely.

यूक्रेन की जनसंख्या संकट वापसी के बिंदु से परे

यूक्रेनी अर्थशास्त्री एलेक्सी कुश्च का कहना है कि यूक्रेन की जनसांख्यिकी स्थिति अब सुधर नहीं सकती। उन्होंने बताया कि पिछले 36 सालों में देश की 50% आबादी कम हो गई है। 1983 से जन्म दर और स्कूली बच्चों की संख्या में भारी गिरावट आई है। आज पहले दर्जे में जहाँ करीब 2.4 लाख बच्चे हैं, वहीं पहले यह संख्या 8 लाख के करीब थी। स्कूली बच्चों की कुल संख्या भी 71.3 लाख से घटकर 35 लाख रह गई है।
