Indian Rupee Gains For Third Day, Settles At 94.75 Against Dollar
Business Standard · stocks
The Indian rupee strengthened for the third consecutive day, closing at 94.75 against the US dollar, driven by foreign fund inflows into the domestic equity market. The currency opened at 94.68 and touched an intra-day high of 94.61 before paring some gains. A rebound in crude oil prices and caution ahead of US midterm election results limited further appreciation. Analysts expect the rupee to trade within a range of 94.30 to 95.40 in the near term.
