Sigma Advanced Systems Secures $19.7M NATO Order For Artillery Ammunition

Hyderabad-based Sigma Advanced Systems Limited has secured a US$19.7 million order for specialised ancillary subsystems used in 155 mm artillery ammunition. The North American customer caters to the NATO defence ecosystem, and the order is slated for execution by the second quarter of 2027. This marks Sigma's fifth 155 mm-related engagement and expands its artillery ammunition portfolio. The company noted that global demand for artillery ammunition has risen sharply due to the Russia-Ukraine war, prompting NATO members to replenish inventories. This order strengthens Sigma's role in international defence manufacturing.

हैदराबाद की सिग्मा एडवांस्ड सिस्टम्स लिमिटेड को 155 mm तोप के गोलों में इस्तेमाल होने वाले खास सहायक सबसिस्टम के लिए 19.7 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर का ऑर्डर मिला है। उत्तरी अमेरिकी ग्राहक NATO रक्षा इकोसिस्टम को सेवा देता है, और इस ऑर्डर को 2027 की दूसरी तिमाही तक पूरा किया जाना है। यह सिग्मा का 155 mm से जुड़ा पांचवां अनुबंध है और इससे इसके तोप के गोलों का पोर्टफोलियो और बढ़ गया है। कंपनी ने बताया कि रूस-यूक्रेन युद्ध के कारण तोप के गोलों की वैश्विक मांग तेजी से बढ़ी है, जिससे NATO देशों को अपने भंडार को फिर से भरने के लिए प्रेरित किया है।
