प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने भुवनेश्वर में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के डेटा सेंटर और साइबर सुरक्षा प्रशिक्षण संस्थान का उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने कहा कि युद्ध का स्वरूप बदल रहा है और भारत की बैंकिंग प्रणाली को साइबर खतरों से बचाना ज़रूरी है। उन्होंने कहा कि साइबर अपराधियों और साइबर आतंकवादियों से लड़ने के लिए आधुनिक बुनियादी ढाँचा, मजबूत कंप्यूटिंग सिस्टम और कुशल कार्यबल महत्वपूर्ण हैं। मोदी ने समावेशी शासन पर सरकार के ध्यान को रेखांकित किया, यह सुनिश्चित करते हुए कि वित्तीय सेवाएँ दूरदराज के इलाकों और लाभार्थियों तक सीधे पहुँचें, और इसकी तुलना पिछली 'फोन बैंकिंग' प्रथाओं से की।
