New Daily Train Service To Ease Evening Rush Hour Overcrowding

A new daily train service will be introduced on the Ernakulam–Kottayam–Kollam route within the next 10 days. This service aims to alleviate overcrowding during the evening rush hour on the Venad Express. Mavelikkara MP Kodikunnil Suresh announced the decision following a meeting with Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The new train is scheduled to depart Ernakulam Junction around 4 pm, passing through Kottayam and Chengannur before reaching Kollam ahead of the Venad Express. Southern Railway is also replacing uncomfortable seats in Jan Shatabdi trains with bucket seats.

अगले 10 दिनों के भीतर एर्नाकुलम–कोट्टयम–कोल्लम मार्ग पर एक नई दैनिक ट्रेन सेवा शुरू की जाएगी। इस सेवा का उद्देश्य वेनाड एक्सप्रेस पर शाम के व्यस्त समय में भीड़भाड़ को कम करना है। मावेलिक्कारा के सांसद कोडिकुन्निल सुरेश ने केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव के साथ बैठक के बाद इस फैसले की घोषणा की। नई ट्रेन के एर्नाकुलम जंक्शन से शाम करीब 4 बजे रवाना होने, कोट्टयम और चेंगन्नूर से गुजरने और वेनाड एक्सप्रेस से पहले कोल्लम पहुंचने की उम्मीद है। दक्षिणी रेलवे जन शताब्दी ट्रेनों में असुविधाजनक सीटों को बकेट सीटों से भी बदल रहा है।
