Jaishankar: India-US Ties Face Bumps Over Trade, Terrorism

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that India-US relations have encountered challenges primarily due to the complexity of trade negotiations and tariff uncertainties. He highlighted that differences over India's concerns regarding terrorism originating from Pakistan have also impacted the partnership. Jaishankar explained that a lack of sufficient understanding of India's deep-seated concerns about terrorism could strain relationships with partners. He noted that while trade agreement understanding is largely in place, changes on the US side and India's complex economic structure have complicated the process.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने कहा कि भारत-अमेरिका संबंधों को मुख्य रूप से व्यापार वार्ता की जटिलताओं और टैरिफ की अनिश्चितताओं के कारण चुनौतियों का सामना करना पड़ा है। उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि पाकिस्तान से उत्पन्न आतंकवाद के बारे में भारत की चिंताओं को लेकर मतभेदों ने भी साझेदारी को प्रभावित किया है। जयशंकर ने समझाया कि आतंकवाद के बारे में भारत की गहरी चिंताओं की पर्याप्त समझ की कमी भागीदारों के साथ संबंधों में तनाव पैदा कर सकती है। उन्होंने कहा कि हालांकि व्यापार समझौते की समझ काफी हद तक मौजूद है, लेकिन अमेरिकी पक्ष में बदलाव और भारत की जटिल आर्थिक संरचना ने इस प्रक्रिया को जटिल बना दिया है।
