Vellore district police have successfully returned 300 lost and found mobile phones, valued at approximately ₹60 lakh, to their rightful owners. This initiative follows the establishment of a dedicated Cyber Crime police unit and the implementation of a cell tracker application for complaint registration. Superintendent of Police N.U. Sivaraman personally handed over the devices at his office. Since the unit's inception, the police have recovered and returned a total of 2,588 mobile phones, amounting to over ₹5.05 crore.

वेल्लोर जिले की पुलिस ने लगभग ₹60 लाख की कीमत वाले 300 खोए और पाए गए मोबाइल फोन उनके असली मालिकों को सफलतापूर्वक लौटा दिए हैं। यह पहल एक समर्पित साइबर क्राइम पुलिस यूनिट की स्थापना और शिकायत पंजीकरण के लिए सेल ट्रैकर एप्लिकेशन के कार्यान्वयन के बाद हुई। पुलिस अधीक्षक एन.यू. शिवरमन ने व्यक्तिगत रूप से अपने कार्यालय में ये डिवाइस सौंपे। यूनिट की स्थापना के बाद से, पुलिस ने कुल 2,588 मोबाइल फोन बरामद और वापस किए हैं, जिनकी कीमत ₹5.05 करोड़ से अधिक है।
