Globalisation Needs Resilience Amid New Chokepoints, Says EAM Jaishankar

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar stated that globalisation cannot be reversed but requires greater resilience from nations. He noted that global competition has intensified, with new chokepoints emerging and countries increasingly leveraging their advantages. Jaishankar highlighted India's efforts to strengthen its capabilities and build trusted partnerships. He also mentioned the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) as a project already shaping regional connectivity thinking. The remarks were made during the Raisina Dialogue's Middle East edition in Abu Dhabi.

विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने कहा कि वैश्वीकरण को पलटा नहीं जा सकता, लेकिन इसके लिए देशों को अधिक लचीलापन चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा तेज हो गई है, नए चोकपॉइंट्स उभर रहे हैं और देश तेजी से अपने फायदे का लाभ उठा रहे हैं। जयशंकर ने भारत के अपनी क्षमताओं को मजबूत करने और भरोसेमंद साझेदारी बनाने के प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने इंडिया-मिडिल ईस्ट-यूरोप इकोनॉमिक कॉरिडोर (IMEC) को क्षेत्रीय कनेक्टिविटी सोच को आकार देने वाली परियोजना के रूप में भी उल्लेख किया। ये टिप्पणियां अबू धाबी में रायसीना डायलॉग के मध्य पूर्व संस्करण के दौरान की गईं।
