UP MLC Polls: BJP Leaders Protest Against Wrong Observer, Demand Re-counting

BJP leaders, ministers, and candidates in Varanasi staged a five-hour protest against the ongoing MLC election counting, demanding a re-count of the fifth round. They initially targeted IAS officer Pranjal Yadav, accusing him of bias and being related to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. However, it was revealed that Yadav was the observer for the teachers' constituency, not the graduates' constituency where BJP candidate Kedar Nath Singh was contesting. Singh was unaware of the actual observer for his election.

वाराणसी में बीजेपी नेताओं, मंत्रियों और उम्मीदवारों ने एमएलसी चुनाव की गिनती के खिलाफ पांच घंटे का विरोध प्रदर्शन किया और पांचवें दौर की दोबारा गिनती की मांग की। उन्होंने शुरुआत में आईएएस अधिकारी प्रांजल यादव को निशाना बनाया, उन पर पक्षपात का आरोप लगाया और कहा कि वह सपा प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव के रिश्तेदार हैं। हालांकि, यह पता चला कि यादव शिक्षकों के निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के लिए ऑब्जर्वर थे, न कि स्नातक निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के लिए जहां बीजेपी उम्मीदवार केदार नाथ सिंह चुनाव लड़ रहे थे। सिंह अपने चुनाव के लिए वास्तविक ऑब्जर्वर से अनजान थे।
