Para cycling chief coach Aditya Mehta has withdrawn from the Indian contingent for the Aichi-Nagoya Para Asian Games in protest after eligible cyclists were denied selection. Mehta stated he could not abandon athletes whose opportunities were taken away, warning the decision could jeopardize India’s Los Angeles Paralympic qualification prospects. Meanwhile, two Boccia athletes, Sachin Chamaria and Anjali Devi, received last-minute clearance from the sports ministry. India's para athletes are also facing logistical challenges due to delayed clearances and soaring airfares, forcing them to travel via Tokyo.
