Life Convict Arrested in Chickballapur After Six Years on the Run

Bengaluru police have apprehended a life convict, Narasimha Reddy, who had been absconding for nearly six years after failing to return to prison following parole. Reddy was convicted in a murder case by the Pavagada police and sentenced to life imprisonment on February 28, 2015. He was granted parole and an extension but did not surrender on November 26, 2019. The police successfully traced and arrested him in the Chickballapur district on October 15, 2026, bringing an end to his evasion.

बेंगलुरु पुलिस ने एक आजीवन कैदी, नरसिम्हा रेड्डी को पकड़ा है, जो पैरोल के बाद जेल में वापस नहीं आने के कारण लगभग छह साल से फरार था। रेड्डी को पावगडा पुलिस ने हत्या के मामले में दोषी ठहराया था और 28 फरवरी 2015 को आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई थी। उसे पैरोल और एक विस्तार दिया गया था, लेकिन वह 26 नवंबर 2019 को आत्मसमर्पण नहीं कर पाया। पुलिस ने 15 अक्टूबर 2026 को चिक्काबल्लापुर जिले में उसका पता लगाया और उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया, जिससे उसके छिपने का अंत हो गया।
