Pakistan and Maldives Sign 20 MoUs to Boost Defence and Maritime Security Ties

Pakistan and the Maldives have signed 20 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to enhance cooperation across various sectors, including defence, maritime security, and artificial intelligence. The agreements were finalized during the three-day visit of Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu to Islamabad. This visit marks the first by a Maldivian president in 11 years and coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations. The MoUs cover areas such as combating illicit trafficking, social protection, health, agriculture, trade, and environmental cooperation, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties.
