Kerala Ex-CM Pinarayi Vijayan, Daughter, Son-in-Law Booked For Corruption

Kerala's Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has booked former chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, his daughter Veena, and son-in-law PA Mohammed Riyas under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Two FIRs were registered based on an Enforcement Directorate finding that Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL) allegedly made monthly payments to Veena's firm when Vijayan was CM. The case highlights allegations of bribes paid to Vijayan through his daughter and money routed abroad. The Kerala High Court ordered the FIR registration following a petition based on ED findings.
