He suggested that with little left of the TMC after the election loss, Banerjee should merge her party with the Congress.

कांग्रेस नेता अधीर रंजन चौधरी ने तृणमूल कांग्रेस (TMC) की प्रमुख ममता बनर्जी से अपने बचे हुए विधायकों और सांसदों के साथ कांग्रेस में वापस लौटने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि पार्टी पश्चिम बंगाल में उनका नेतृत्व स्वीकार करने के लिए तैयार है। चौधरी की यह अपील 2026 के विधानसभा चुनावों में हार के बाद TMC के संगठनात्मक संकट के बीच आई है, जिसमें उसके विधायी और संसदीय दोनों विंग में महत्वपूर्ण विद्रोह देखे गए थे। उन्होंने सुझाव दिया कि चुनाव हारने के बाद TMC का बहुत कुछ बचा नहीं है, इसलिए बनर्जी को अपनी पार्टी का कांग्रेस में विलय कर देना चाहिए।
