IISc Scientists Control Cell Division With Blue Light

Scientists at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru have developed a method to control human cell division using flashes of blue light. This technique, called LISA, triggers the assembly of essential cellular machinery for cell splitting by clustering a key enzyme, Aurora A kinase. It bypasses the need for natural complex scaffolding and even rescues cells with destroyed centrosomes.

बेंगलुरु के इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ साइंस (IISc) के वैज्ञानिकों ने नीली रोशनी की चमक से इंसानी कोशिकाओं के बंटवारे को कंट्रोल करने का तरीका खोजा है। LISA नाम की इस तकनीक से कोशिका बंटने के लिए ज़रूरी मशीनरी अपने आप जुड़ जाती है। यह तरीका कोशिकाओं के टूटे हुए सेंट्रोसोम को भी ठीक कर सकता है।
