The Supreme Court has described a notice from the Nadia district magistrate requiring Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra and other legislators to give three to four days' notice for circuit house accommodation as "seemingly retaliatory." The court directed Moitra to inform the district administration a day before her visit, ensuring her accommodation request is processed according to protocol. This comes after Moitra alleged that the Nadia district administration had directed her to vacate a circuit house room late at night on August 14, despite it being allotted to her.
