Himachal Pradesh Imposes Cess On Fuel

The Himachal Pradesh government has imposed a cess on petrol and diesel. The law permits the state to charge up to Rs 5 per litre. The current imposition of sixty paise per litre may be an initial step. हिमाचल प्रदेश सरकार ने पेट्रोल और डीज़ल पर सेस लगा दिया है। कानून के तहत राज्य सरकार प्रति लीटर 5 रुपये तक का शुल्क लगा सकती है। अभी 60 पैसे प्रति लीटर लगाया गया है, जो शायद पहला कदम है। इस नए टैक्स से राज्य में लोगों के लिए ईंधन महंगा हो जाएगा, जिससे ट्रांसपोर्ट और दूसरे खर्चों पर भी असर पड़ सकता है।
