Seligman Ventures has doubled its venture arm's capital to $1 billion, less than a year after its launch with $500 million. The firm is betting on the AI boom's physical infrastructure needs to foster the next generation of large technology companies. This expansion reflects a renewed investor interest in capital-intensive hardware, moving beyond the software focus of recent decades. Seligman has already invested over $300 million across 14 companies in AI hardware, connectivity, and cybersecurity.
