Delhi's Infamous Mathura Road Set For Major Upgrade

Delhi's notoriously congested Mathura Road, particularly the Ashram to Badarpur stretch, is slated for a significant upgrade aimed at alleviating severe traffic jams. This 8-kilometer section, which sees approximately 500,000 vehicles daily during peak hours, will undergo reconstruction costing ₹378 crore. The project includes widening the road to four lanes, improving drainage, and redesigning intersections. Three new flyovers are planned to make the route largely signal-free. NHAI is managing the project, with the bidding process expected to conclude by November.

दिल्ली का बदनाम मथुरा रोड, खासकर आश्रम से बदरपुर तक का हिस्सा, भारी ट्रैफिक जाम से निजात दिलाने के लिए बड़े अपग्रेड के लिए तैयार है। यह 8 किलोमीटर का हिस्सा, जहाँ पीक आवर्स में रोज़ाना लगभग 500,000 वाहन चलते हैं, ₹378 करोड़ की लागत से फिर से बनाया जाएगा। इस प्रोजेक्ट में सड़क को चार लेन तक चौड़ा करना, ड्रेनेज सिस्टम को बेहतर बनाना और चौराहों को फिर से डिज़ाइन करना शामिल है। तीन नए फ्लाईओवर की योजना है जिससे यह रास्ता काफी हद तक सिग्नल-फ्री हो जाएगा। NHAI इस प्रोजेक्ट को मैनेज कर रहा है, और बोली प्रक्रिया नवंबर तक पूरी होने की उम्मीद है।
