Russia, a major oil exporter, is now importing gasoline from India, a trade flow described as ironic. In August, Russia imported a record 172,000 tonnes of oil products, with nearly 70% coming from India. Gasoline accounted for 74% of these imports, a significant surge from previous averages. This unusual trade involves Russian crude being refined in India and then shipped back to Russia, highlighting complex logistical and economic adjustments.
