Virginia is implementing stricter controls on data centers, including permitting, commercial, and environmental regulations, Governor Abigail Spanberger announced. The state, home to the world's largest concentration of data centers, plans to ban non-disclosure agreements for projects over 25 megawatts and mandate clean energy sources. This initiative aims to address public concerns regarding transparency and the environmental impact of these energy-intensive facilities.
