शिवसेना (यूबीटी) ने पूर्व सुप्रीम कोर्ट जज मार्कंडेय काटजू की आलोचना की है, जिन्होंने युवा नेताओं को विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान 'शांति बॉन्ड' पर हस्ताक्षर न करने की सलाह दी थी। पार्टी ने अपने मुखपत्र सामना में कहा कि इन बॉन्ड पर हस्ताक्षर करने का मतलब अपराध स्वीकार करना या सरकार के सामने झुकना नहीं है। उन्होंने तर्क दिया कि लोकतांत्रिक विरोध को लगातार अपराधी बनाया जा रहा है, और जंतर मंतर जैसी जगहों पर प्रतिबंध लगाए जा रहे हैं। शिवसेना (यूबीटी) ने युवा कार्यकर्ताओं से कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं से न डरने और नागरिक स्वतंत्रता के लिए अपनी लड़ाई जारी रखने का आग्रह किया।
