Bhopal Municipal Corporation Steps Up Enforcement After ISBT Fire, Collects Fines

A week after a fire at the Kushabhau Thakre Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT), the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has intensified enforcement measures. BMC commissioner Ramprakash Ahirwar ordered officials to remove non-operational buses, clear encroachments, and keep corridors unobstructed. Spot fines were mandated for obstructing public movement or littering. The health wing collected a Rs 5,000 fine from a booking office for corridor encroachment. These directives aim to improve safety, prevent unauthorized use of common spaces, and enhance the overall upkeep of the bus terminus.

कुशाभाऊ ठाकरे इंटर-स्टेट बस टर्मिनस (ISBT) में आग लगने के एक हफ़्ते बाद, भोपाल नगर निगम (BMC) ने सख्ती बढ़ा दी है। BMC कमिश्नर रामप्रकाश अहिरवार ने अधिकारियों को गैर-कामकाजी बसों को हटाने, अतिक्रमण साफ़ करने और गलियारों को खुला रखने का आदेश दिया है। सार्वजनिक आवाजाही में बाधा डालने या कचरा फैलाने पर स्पॉट फाइन लगाने का आदेश दिया गया। स्वास्थ्य विंग ने गलियारे में अतिक्रमण के लिए एक बुकिंग ऑफिस से 5,000 रुपये का जुर्माना वसूला। इन निर्देशों का उद्देश्य सुरक्षा बढ़ाना, सामान्य स्थानों के अनधिकृत उपयोग को रोकना और बस टर्मिनस के समग्र रखरखाव में सुधार करना है।
