Ludhiana SHO Faces Bailable Warrants For Skipping RTI Hearings

Punjab State Information Commission has issued bailable warrants against Jitender Kumar, SHO of Daba police station in Ludhiana, for failing to appear in three consecutive hearings. The officer's absence delayed proceedings and showed disregard for the RTI Act. The warrants were issued in an appeal filed by Balwinderjeet Kaur Mann, whose daughter is now pursuing the case after her mother's death. The commission has directed the Ludhiana Commissioner of Police to ensure the SHO's presence and provide the requested information.

लुधियाना एसएचओ को आरटीआई सुनवाई में हाजिर न होने पर मिले जमानती वारंट

पंजाब राज्य सूचना आयोग ने डाबा पुलिस स्टेशन लुधियाना के एसएचओ जितेंद्र कुमार के खिलाफ तीन लगातार सुनवाई में पेश न होने पर जमानती वारंट जारी किए हैं। अधिकारी की अनुपस्थिति ने कार्यवाही में देरी की और आरटीआई अधिनियम के प्रति अनादर दिखाया। वारंट बलविंदरजीत कौर मान द्वारा दायर अपील में जारी किए गए थे, जिनकी बेटी की मां की मृत्यु के बाद अब बेटी यह मामला आगे बढ़ा रही है। आयोग ने लुधियाना के पुलिस आयुक्त को एसएचओ की उपस्थिति सुनिश्चित करने और मांगी गई जानकारी प्रदान करने का निर्देश दिया है।
