Website building company Squarespace has announced significant layoffs, impacting approximately 19% of its global workforce, which amounts to around 300 employees. The majority of affected staff are from the product and engineering teams. This restructuring aims to simplify operations, sharpen priorities, and enable faster adaptation to the modern era, according to CEO Anthony Casalena. Departing employees will receive comprehensive support, including a minimum of 16 weeks' pay and continued healthcare benefits through May 2027. The company also confirmed that affected employees can keep their laptops.
