Punjab Govt Agrees to Rs 2 Crore Compensation and Job for Slain Activist's Family

The Punjab government and the Insaf Committee have reached an agreement regarding the murder of anti-drug activist Parwinder Singh Jhota. As per the settlement, Jhota's wife will receive ₹2 crore in compensation and a government job based on her qualifications. The government will also establish a trauma center in Mansa in his name. Cases registered against Jhota's father and members of the Anti-Drug Task Force team will be withdrawn. The post-mortem and cremation will take place.

पंजाब सरकार और इंसाफ कमेटी के बीच नशीली दवाओं के खिलाफ कार्यकर्ता परविंदर सिंह झोटा की हत्या को लेकर समझौता हो गया है। समझौते के तहत, झोटा की पत्नी को ₹2 करोड़ का मुआवज़ा और उनकी योग्यता के अनुसार सरकारी नौकरी मिलेगी। सरकार उनके नाम पर मंसा में एक ट्रॉमा सेंटर भी स्थापित करेगी। झोटा के पिता और एंटी-ड्रग टास्क फोर्स टीम के सदस्यों के खिलाफ दर्ज मामले वापस लिए जाएंगे। पोस्टमार्टम और अंतिम संस्कार किया जाएगा।
