Railway Minister Orders Blacklisting of Contractor for Shivamogga Line

Union Minister of State for Railways V. Somanna announced that the contractor responsible for the Shivamogga-Shikaripur-Ranebennur broad-gauge railway line will be blacklisted. The decision comes after Mr. Somanna expressed disappointment over delays in the project during a review meeting in Shivamogga. The work will be re-tendered within two months, and an inquiry will be ordered against the contractor. Additionally, the Minister reviewed progress on other railway projects in the state, including station development and new line surveys.
