Sreejesh: Next two years crucial for Indian hockey

Former captain PR Sreejesh believes the next two years are critical for the Indian men's hockey team to build a squad capable of challenging top global teams by the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. He suggests integrating younger players after the upcoming Asian Games and Hockey India League. Sreejesh also cautioned that Asian hockey is not the benchmark for global success, emphasizing the need for consistency against the world's best.

पूर्व कप्तान पीआर श्रीजेश का मानना है कि भारतीय पुरुष हॉकी टीम के लिए अगले दो साल बहुत अहम हैं। 2028 लॉस एंजेलिस ओलंपिक तक टॉप टीमों को टक्कर देने वाली टीम तैयार करनी है। उन्होंने कहा कि एशियन गेम्स और हॉकी इंडिया लीग के बाद युवा खिलाड़ियों को टीम में शामिल करना चाहिए। श्रीजेश ने यह भी चेताया कि एशियाई हॉकी वैश्विक सफलता का पैमाना नहीं है, दुनिया की सर्वश्रेष्ठ टीमों के खिलाफ निरंतरता जरूरी है।
