Rishikesh Rafting Halted Indefinitely Due To Rising Ganga

River rafting operations in Rishikesh have been indefinitely halted due to continuous rainfall over the past two days. Authorities have prohibited rafting and related adventure activities in the Ganga at Muni-ki-Reti until further orders, with activities to resume only after the weather improves and the river recedes. The water level was recorded at 339.50 metres on Sunday. State Disaster Response Force and Jal Police are cautioning people against going near the river. This suspension has disappointed operators and led to the cancellation of bookings.

पिछले दो दिनों से लगातार हो रही बारिश के कारण ऋषिकेश में रिवर राफ्टिंग का संचालन अनिश्चित काल के लिए रोक दिया गया है। अधिकारियों ने अगले आदेश तक मुनि-की-रेती में गंगा नदी में राफ्टिंग और संबंधित साहसिक गतिविधियों पर रोक लगा दी है, और मौसम में सुधार और नदी का जलस्तर कम होने के बाद ही गतिविधियां फिर से शुरू होंगी। रविवार को जलस्तर 339.50 मीटर दर्ज किया गया था। स्टेट डिजास्टर रिस्पांस फोर्स और जल पुलिस लोगों को नदी के पास न जाने की चेतावनी दे रहे हैं। इस निलंबन से ऑपरेटर निराश हैं और बुकिंग रद्द हो गई हैं।
