Anna University Trichy Appoints New Dean

R Elangovan has been appointed as the new dean of Anna University’s Trichy campus. Elangovan, a professor and former head of the civil engineering department, has been associated with the university since September 2008. This appointment follows demands from faculty and the Anna University teachers’ association for a change in leadership due to the previous dean's extended tenure. Six other Anna University campuses across the state are also expected to receive new deans soon. The change comes after a recent consultative meeting held by the state higher education minister.
