The court further ordered these officers to make appropriate decisions before the nomination deadline, adhering to election rules. This directive was issued while disposing of a petition seeking arrangements for a free nomination process. In a separate petition, a party president requested an extension of the nomination period for urban local body elections, citing statutory provisions.
