RBI Absorbs ₹75,026 Cr Via Overnight VRRR Auction

The Reserve Bank of India absorbed ₹75,026 crore from the banking system through an overnight variable rate reverse repo auction on Wednesday. The central bank received bids worth ₹87,993 crore for a notified amount of ₹75,000 crore, accepting ₹75,026 crore at a cut-off rate of 5.24 per cent. This move aims to manage surplus liquidity in the banking system, which is currently estimated at around ₹4.45 trillion.

बुधवार को रिज़र्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया (RBI) ने एक रात की रिवर्स रेपो नीलामी के ज़रिए बैंकिंग सिस्टम से ₹75,026 करोड़ सोख लिए। RBI को ₹75,000 करोड़ के लिए ₹87,993 करोड़ की बोलियां मिलीं, जिसमें से ₹75,026 करोड़ 5.24% की दर पर स्वीकार किए गए। इस कदम का मकसद बैंकिंग सिस्टम में अतिरिक्त नकदी को नियंत्रित करना है, जो फिलहाल करीब ₹4.45 लाख करोड़ है।
