Times of India · education
Candidates seeking assistant professor positions are urging the Tamil Nadu government and the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) to ensure transparency in the recruitment process and conduct exams at regular intervals. They have raised concerns over the evaluation of descriptive answer papers and seek the release of answer scripts for fairness. The TRB is planning reforms to expedite faculty appointments in government arts and science colleges. The current recruitment drive, filling 2,708 vacancies, saw 42,064 candidates appear, but interview shortlisting is delayed due to pending cases.
