Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh has proposed establishing an "Indo-Pacific ocean data exchange" and a regional maritime artificial intelligence (AI) network to enhance cooperation among nations. Speaking at the Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue, he highlighted four key proposals including oceanographic data sharing, maritime AI, marine pollution monitoring, and academic research. The proposed data exchange would be a multilateral platform for sharing non-sensitive oceanographic and meteorological data, aiding smaller nations in monitoring their exclusive economic zones.
