OpenAI has confirmed the termination of three researchers from its safety team following an internal investigation. The probe concluded that the employees violated company policies concerning the access and handling of sensitive information. According to a Wall Street Journal report, the researchers accused of sharing confidential data with third-party AI safety organizations are Jasmine Wang, Tomek Korbak, and Mikita Balesni. These dismissals are linked to recent security incidents, including a breach involving the AI platform Hugging Face.
